Anne Barnham Demonstration

Anne Barnham gave us an interesting demonstration on 4th September. She gave us two images of the same scene. One a moody, stormy sky and the other on a lovely sunny day..

The differences were quite remarkable. It was lovely to have to different moods from one scene.

See Anne in action in our events gallery. Her final paintings are shown below.

Thank you for visiting our site. We welcome all newcomers to our Society, whether you just have an interest in art, or you are an amateur or professional artist, you will be given a warm welcome.

Why not come along to one of our regular monthly evenings as a visitor. You can enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with like minded people. Check out our programme schedule which shows details of our upcoming monthly meetings/demonstrations and other events. Also take a look at the details about joining us.

Looking forward to our Still Life evening

We are all looking forward to our 2nd October meeting where we will be drawing or painting from a variety of subjects. There will be quite a selection to choose from. Visitors are welcome, paying £4 to attend. Visitors and members, please bring your own materials to draw or paint.

In November we will be life painting with a model. This will be run by our Chairman, John Bailey. This also looks like being an enjoyable evening. For details of where and when we meet, please take a look at our programmes page.

Painting Days Out

We often organise painting days out for members. The next one is Thursday 14th September where we will be painting together at Nene Valley Railway, Wansford. We will meet at 10am just as you before you go onto the station.

Lots of interesting subjects to paint there. Steam trains, people, or the old station and various parts of it including some of the wonderful old props they have from the steam era.

If you are interested in joining us there, but are not a member, then why not join Peterborough Art Society. You can contact us using our contact form, requesting a member application or you could come along to one of our meetings at St Marks Church Hall and join then. Please see our programme for details of when.
