Karen Green

Karen studied at Leicester De Montfort College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Textile Art and went on to complete a teaching qualification.

Karen decided to leave her career working for an educational charity, to explore her artistic ambitions and become a full time artist. She has shown work in many successful solo, group and open exhibitions.

She is passionate about her art, and loves getting lost in the moment of painting and the creative release it gives her. Karen wants to share her passion for art by creating beautiful, unique , high quality original paintings at a price people can afford. Her beautiful watercolour portraits of pets, people and places are a unique gift that will last a lifetime.

Karen’s canvas artwork is mainly rooted in the British landscape, an ideal base for her impressions of a variety of locations including beaches, lakes, busy harbours and mountaing ranges. She also draws inspiration from dramatic cliffs and coastline which provide her with a rich source of material. Her painting is constantly evolving, experimenting with different techniques, ultimately aiming to capture light and atmosphere, the power and beauty of all nature and its creations. Karen’s main objective is to capture the mood and spirit of a place.
